This page applies to all Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, Wellbeing sessions, and "Find Your…" Courses delivered by instructors of Serene & Strong, including any cover instructor delivering a class on our behalf. When you book a class, you'll be asked to confirm you've read and understood this information. This class is for adults aged 18 and over.
We want every session to be genuinely right for you, and safe. Antenatal yoga and Pilates require specific training that our instructors don't currently hold, so if you're pregnant, our general classes unfortunately aren't the safest fit for you at this time.
Please get in touch at hello@sereneandstrong.co.uk — we're happy to help you find a suitably qualified antenatal instructor, and we'd love to welcome you back to a general class after your pregnancy.
Our classes involve physical movement and exercise. As with any physical activity, there is an inherent risk of injury, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint strain, and dizziness.
Everyone's body is different, and part of feeling safe and supported in class is knowing your own limits. Please listen to yourself throughout the session, and modify, rest, or sit out any part of it if you need to.
If you have an injury, health condition, or anything else that might affect your participation, please let your instructor know before class — this helps them support you properly and adapt the session where needed. You're not required to share anything you'd rather keep private, but we'd genuinely encourage you to flag anything relevant, including anything that's changed since you last attended.
If you're ever unsure whether a class is suitable for you, it's a good idea to check with a medical professional first.
During class, you may be offered hands-on adjustments to support your alignment, technique or safety — always at your instructor's discretion and with your comfort in mind. You'll be asked at booking whether you're happy to receive hands-on adjustments, or would prefer verbal guidance only.
By attending, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating and accept the inherent risks described above. Nothing on this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.
Serene & Strong Ltd is not responsible for personal property brought to or left at the venue.
Classes may be held at third-party venues. Serene & Strong Ltd is not responsible for the venue's facilities, parking, or building safety, which remain the responsibility of the venue.
Some classes, such as Yoga on the Folly, take place outdoors. Outdoor sessions carry additional considerations, including uneven or slippery ground, weather exposure, and the absence of indoor facilities. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear for the terrain. Outdoor sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice due to weather — you will be notified as early as possible if this happens.
Your safety matters to us. At booking, you'll be asked to confirm your emergency contact details, and whether you consent to your instructor contacting emergency services, providing basic first aid, and/or notifying your emergency contact if needed.
We love capturing the spirit of our classes to share with others — but only with your consent. At booking, you can let us know if you'd prefer not to be included in any photographs or footage used publicly (e.g. on our website or social media). You may still be visible in unedited images taken during class, but we will check attendee consent before publishing and will not include you in anything shared if you've opted out.
Instructors of Serene & Strong are qualified to teach movement and wellbeing sessions but are not medical professionals. Nothing said during a class should be treated as medical advice.
