Bringing together psychology, movement and mindfulness for holistic wellbeing.
Claire began her career teaching Psychology and Drama in secondary schools, where she developed a passion for helping young people understand how to learn, develop and flourish. This led her to deepen her knowledge of mindfulness and Positive Psychology and to explore how psychological wellbeing could be supported alongside academic learning.
At South Hampstead High School for Girls, one of the UK's leading independent schools, she led the design and implementation of a whole-school wellbeing programme, teaching wellbeing and mindfulness and supporting students to develop resilience, self-awareness and healthy habits that extended beyond the classroom.
Alongside her work in education, Claire deepened her own Yoga practice and became increasingly interested in the connection between mind and body. After experiencing severe back pain during and after pregnancy, she discovered Pilates and found it a powerful way to rebuild strength, improve body awareness and support her own physical wellbeing. This personal experience deepened her commitment to Pilates training with Body Control Pilates.
She is a qualified 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in Hatha Yoga and has completed Body Control Pilates Matwork, Matwork Evolution, Intermediate and Advanced-level training. She continues to develop her expertise through ongoing professional development.
Claire's teaching integrates her background in psychology, Yoga and Pilates to create classes that are both supportive and appropriately challenging. Her aim is to help you feel stronger, move with greater confidence and develop a deeper sense of connection to your body and wellbeing.
